Former U.S. attorney general Jeff Sessions has been knocked out of the race for his old Senate seat. Sessions, who was fired by President Trump in 2018, lost the Republican primary in Alabama on Tuesday to his Trump-backed opponent, newcomer Tommy Tuberville.
