N.S. harm reduction advocates applaud police chiefs for their new stance on decriminalizing drugs

For the first time in their history, Canada’s police chiefs have endorsed the decriminalization of simple possession of illicit drugs. As Elizabeth McSheffrey reports, they’re calling for the creation of a national task force to research drug policy reform – a move Nova Scotia harm reduction advocates hail as progressive and supportive of public health.
