Conservative MP Pierre Poilievre on Friday said the Conservatives were calling for a police investigation into the now-cancelled WE Charity contract after it was revealed two members of Justin Trudeau’s family had been paid for speaking events for the organization. Poilievre said Trudeau “acted like a dictator and paid his friends.” The charity had originally been contracted to administer a $900-million federal grant program for students and recent graduates volunteering this summer amid the coronavirus pandemic.
