The lawyer for President Donald Trump’s own former personal lawyer Michael Cohen appeared outside court in New York City on Thursday after he says Cohen was taken to jail in what was to be a routine signing of paperwork related to his home confinement. According to a statement by the Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Cohen “refused the conditions of his home confinement” and thus was returned to a BOP facility. Cohen had been released earlier this year over concerns of coronavirus spread in prisons.
