Coronavirus: Taking comfort in lower COVID-19 death rate a ‘false narrative,’ Fauci says

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, warned on Tuesday that it’s a “false narrative to take comfort in a lower rate of death” amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the U.S. He added that there are “so many other things that are very dangerous and bad about the virus,” and to not get “into false complacency.”
