World Health Organization technical lead Prof. Benedetta Allegranzi said on Tuesday that the WHO acknowledged “evidence emerging” of the airborne spread of the coronavirus after a group of scientists urged the global body to update its guidance on how the respiratory disease passes between people. Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove added that WHO is publishing a scientific briefing to summarize the latest evidence and research results on COVID-19 transmission methods.
