U.S. President Donald Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows defended the president’s claim this past weekend that 99 per cent of COVID-19 cases were “totally harmless,” saying he doesn’t believe Trump’s intent was to downplay the threat of the coronavirus and that he wants to look at risk in an “appropriate way based on facts and figures.”
