Floridians packed Clearwater Beach for the Independence Day holiday on July 4, despite concerns over a spike in coronavirus cases in the state, which rose by a record 11,458 on Saturday, according to Florida’s health department. It’s the second time in three days that its caseload increased by more than 10,000.
