Former U.S. vice-president and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden launched a fresh wave of criticism against current President Donald Trump over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, saying that Trump had “failed” Americans. Biden referenced Trump’s earlier claims that America needed to act “like we were at war” with the coronavirus, but with July one day away, “it seems like our wartime president has surrendered.”
