Trudeau says lack of diplomatic presence in Syria hinders Canada’s ability to provide consular assistance

Speaking to reporters outside Rideau Cottage in Ottawa on Monday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the lack of any diplomatic presence on the ground in Syria makes it difficult for the federal government to provide consular assistance to Canadians there.
