It has been nearly one week since the city restructured its downtown core to give pedestrians more walking room, and allowing shops and restaurants to expand.
The plan has been met with initial backlash by some shop owners who say turning George St. into a one lane street is hurting business.
On Thursday, the mayor and Peterborough Public Health’s medical officer of health led a guided tour through the downtown core to explain the changes.
