Peterborough and area sees spike in black bear sightings

Quinte West OPP were on scene today in the area of Stewart and North Murray Street, after numerous calls of a black bear spotted in the area. And this isn’t the first sighting of a black bear wandering into towns this year. It appears there’s actually been an increase in bear sightings this year. Lindsay Biscaia looks into the reasoning behind the increase, and what we can do to make sure both us, and the bears, can stay safe.
