Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland on Thursday called NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh “a really important voice” on the issue of systemic racism in Canada, as the only racialized leader of a political party. Freeland was also asked about allegations that Bloc MP Alain Therrien had made a “hand gesture,” saying she had not seen anything.
