North Korea blows up joint Korean liaison office, South Korea warns action if tensions rise

North Korea blew up an office set up to foster better ties and communication with South Korea on Tuesday in a “terrific explosion” after expressing anger at “human scum” (North Korea defectors) sending what it called propaganda from the South. South Korea’s national security council convened an emergency meeting on Tuesday and said the country will sternly respond if North Korea continues to raise tensions.
