Cory Booker said on CBS’ Face The Nation on Sunday that he was pushing for police reform that would solve issues and end controversial practices, not write a bill he calls the “lowest common denominator.” He also said that Republican Sen. Mike Braun had informed him that restricting qualified immunity for police officers was on the table for negotiations, an aspect the White House has called a “nonstarter.”
