Atlanta, Ga. Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced on Saturday that the city’s police chief had resigned as an investigation is ongoing into the shooting death of Rayshard Brooks, who was shot by police on Friday after a struggle in a parking lot. The death was partially caught on multiple cameras and showed Brooks struggling with an officer before wrestling away a stun gun. He ran and made it a short distance before allegedly turning towards officers with the stun gun raised when an officer shot him. Bottoms has called for the firing of the officer who shot Brooks.
