An online petition calls for the removal of the James McGill statue on the university’s campus and have it replaced with a tree. This comes around the same time many others are calling for the removal of the John A. Macdonald statue in the Place du Canada park in downtown Montreal. Global’s Kwabena Oduro has the story.
