Britain’s Queen Elizabeth marked her “official” birthday on Saturday with a military ceremony in the quadrangle of Windsor Castle, performed by soldiers from the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards with music from a band of the Household Division. Elizabeth was born on April 21, 1926, in central London and became queen in 1952 at the age of 25, meaning she has now reigned for more than 68 years.
