Police in France protest over chokehold ban, stigma

Police in France marched along the Champs Élysées in Paris on Friday, June 12 in response to the French government banning a chokehold restraint technique used to detain suspects, as well as accusing President Emmanuel Macron and his administration of scapegoating law enforcement agencies amid ongoing protests over race discrimination.
