Minnesota governor says police reforms about safety, not defunding services

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz stressed on Thursday that some aspects of a legislative package for police reform were about public safety and that people need to not “get trapped” on the idea of defunding police. He said they want to see crimes reduced and ensure people are safe in their communities.
