During a roundtable discussion in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his support for law enforcement, and said that the scene was “beautiful” when the National Guard was called to intervene to contain protests in Minneapolis, Minn. Trump described the situation as being “like a knife cutting butter.” Protests, mostly peaceful, have taken place globally following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, who died in police custody in Minneapolis after a white police officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes.
