During a round table in Philadelphia on Thursday, presumptive Democratic Presidential Nominee Joe Biden briefly addressed the death of George Floyd, saying it had a wider impact than the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. because of how many people saw the cell phone video of the police confrontation and were inspired to take to the streets worldwide. Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man, died in police custody in Minneapolis, Minn. as a result of a white police officer kneeling on his neck for nearly nine minutes while other officers pinned him to the ground.
