Senegalese in Dakar joined the worldwide protests to denounce police violence and remember George Floyd, who was buried in Houston, U.S. on Tuesday. A small number of demonstrators knelt at the site designated for the giant monument of Goree, an island that houses a memorial to the Atlantic slave trade and which former U.S. President Barack Obama visited in 2013.
