Conservative leader Andrew Scheer said on Monday he doesn’t believe that defunding the RCMP would make Canadians safer, and that it wouldn’t solve the problem of systemic racism. He said “we can address these issues within the RCMP” in Scheer’s estimation, without a dramatic reduction in the force’s budget.
