Two Buffalo, N.Y. police officers who were seen on video on Thursday appearing to violently shove an elderly man during a demonstration were charged on Saturday with second-degree assault, the Erie County district attorney announced. The man was seen falling to the ground after appearing to be shoved by officers, and was later taken to hospital. The city’s mayor, Byron W. Brown, said the man was in serious but stable condition.
