U.S. attorney general William Barr discussed Thursday the clearing out of protesters near the White House on Monday ahead of President Donald Trump’s walk to St. John’s Church for what has been considered a photo op, and said that law enforcement was planning to expand its perimeter even before Trump had made the decision to walk to the church in order to better protect the White House.
