U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited the statue of Pope John Paul II during their visit to the Saint John Paul II National Shrine in Washington on Tuesday. The visit comes one day after Trump threatened military force if state and local authorities are unable to bring a halt to days of non-violent and violent protests in cities across the U.S.
