Protesters took to the streets in Los Angeles on May 27, shutting down a major highway and burning an American flag in solidarity with similar protests in Minneapolis and across the country. George Floyd died earlier this week when a police officer put his knee on Floyd’s neck while he lay with his face against the pavement, until he lost consciousness.
