NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman announced on Tuesday that the league will resume its 2019-20 season with a phased approach that will jump into a playoff scenario, abandoning the rest of the regular season. While no dates are set, Bettman said two conferences comprised of 12 teams each will each play in a hub city. Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton are Canadian cities being considered when play resumes in the summer and into the fall.
