White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said on Tuesday that President Donald Trump wants to see the Republican National Convention (RNC) go ahead with a “cooperative governor,” referring to Trump wanting North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper to give the green light for a public convention. She also would not say if RNC officials or Trump would consdier a virtual convention should COVID-19 numbers spike, but advised they’ll assess the facts “on a day by day basis.”
