Calgary homeless agencies see ‘large spike’ in people shunning shelters to avoid catching COVID-19

Groups that support the homeless in Calgary say more people are avoiding staying in shelters during the COVID-19 pandemic. As Gil Tucker reports, many are scared of catching the coronavirus, so they’re switching to sleeping outside.
