Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott said on Monday that the recent increase of case numbers was related to Mother’s Day weekend, despite that people should not have been in groups of more than five. She said the numbers expected in the days to come will likely reflect the period of reopening and they would monitor to make decisions on next steps for the province.
