Conservative House Leader Candice Bergen refused a Liberal proposal on extending COVID-19 Special Committee sittings on Monday, stating that the motion proposed doesn’t reconvene parliament and asked if the Liberals believe if parliament is essential for Canadians. She also asked why parliament can’t reconvene if the COVID-19 special committee is proposed to get extended in-person sittings.
