Edmonton Mayor Don Iveson says he asked city staff for a long term analysis on the financial needs of transit services in the event recovery and ridership takes several years, so he can approach other levels of government for help. Iveson said he is losing patience and if no help comes, the city will be forced to cut other essential services or raise taxes in order to keep transit running.
