Coronavirus outbreak: Ontario’s top doctor says consent, mental health among considerations for testing children

Ontario’s chief medical officer of health on Thursday addressed Premier Doug Ford’s comments earlier regarding not testing children before returning to school, saying the incidence of COVID-19 in children remains very low, but said there would be several considerations needed to take into account such as parental consent, proper staffing and a child’s mental health.
