Independent store owners in Toronto’s historic Distillery District are hopeful about rent relief following statements from their landlord. As Sean O’Shea reports, the company that owns and runs the retail space has allowed operators to pay little or no rent the last few weeks and is promising to apply to the federal relief program once it is available.
