Manitoba’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Brent Roussin said on Tuesday that the “only reason” Manitobans or anyone else should consider using hydroxychloroquine as a method to treat or prevent COVID-19 is if they’re part of a clinical trial. Otherwise, Dr. Roussin said he would strongly recommend against it being prescribed to a person for any other reason at this time.
