Coronavirus outbreak: New study shows third of COVID-19 patients in New York developed kidney injury

As doctors race to understand the novel coronavirus and how it attacks the human body – a recent finding from New York could offer some clues. Over a third of patients treated for COVID-19 in a large New York medical system developed acute kidney injury, and nearly 15% required dialysis.. That’s according to a study conducted by a team at New York State’s largest health provider Northwell Health.
