World Health Organization (WHO) director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Friday that WHO has released a policy brief on gender and COVID-19, which encourages countries to incorporate a gender-focus into their responses and includes 6 key asks for governments including: increasing availability and access to sexual and reproductive health services, and preventing and responding effectively to issues of domestic violence which has risen during the pandemic.
