After years of planning and fundraising, a shelter for people fleeing domestic violence is opening in Sturgeon County. Jessie’s House is built in memory of Jessica Martel who was murdered in an act of domestic violence in 2009. Lynn Rosychuk and Kayla Das share more about the 9,200-square-foot, 35-bed facility that also provides special support for children and outreach services.
