Coronavirus outbreak: Mayor Tory says federal and provincial governments must provide urgent support to municipalities now

Toronto Mayor John Tory said on Tuesday that the mayors and chairs of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) are calling again on the Government of Canada and the Ontario government to provide financial support to their municipalities, saying “it’s absolutely critical now for the provincial and federal governments to take urgent action to address the dire financial problems being faced by GTHA municipalities.”
