Coronavirus outbreak: Njoo calls situation in Canadian care homes a ‘national tragedy’

Canada’s deputy chief public health officer Dr. Howard Njoo on Saturday called the situation in the country’s long-term care homes “a national tragedy” and said after the novel coronavirus pandemic has ended “there needs to be a national conversation” about how seniors living in these facilities are treated.
