Speaking to reporters outside Rideau Cottage in Ottawa on Saturday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the measures his government had taken since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic were designed in part to “lay the groundwork” for Canada’s economy to “come roaring back” once the pandemic’s danger subsides.
