Speaking to reporters outside Rideau Cottage in Ottawa on Thursday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said now is not the time, in his opinion, for his government to implement a national testing strategy for COVID-19. Trudeau added that the different situations faced by each province means a federally-mandated solution wouldn’t work.
