Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), on Monday said that earlier in the day, €7.4 billion was pledged by 40 countries in an effort to raise funds for the development of a COVID-19 vaccine, diagnostics and therapeutics through the WHO’s Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator.
