The US Navy hospital ship USNS Comfort departed New York City on Thursday, a month after it docked at a Manhattan pier to support city hospitals during the coronavirus crisis. Though it originally was sent to treat only non-COVID-19 patients, by April 6, the boat was receiving New York-area residents infected with the disease.
