Speaking to reporters in Ottawa on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister of Canada Chrystia Freeland praised the six “heroes” aboard the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) helicopter which went down in the Ionian Sea off the coast of Greece. One casualty has since been recovered while search and rescue operations continue involving Canada and multiple NATO allies.
