During a press conference on Saturday, Indigenous Services Minister Marc Miller said First Nations communities across the country have seen an increase in coronavirus cases in the last week. As of April 24, there have been 95 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in First Nations communities on reserve and 14 cases in Nunavik Inuit communities.
Editors’ Note: An earlier version of the headline of this video included an incorrect number of cases being associated with a specific community and an incorrect reference to Nunavik being a reserve. The previous information has been updated and corrected. We apologize for the error.
