Efforts to flatten the COVID-19 outbreak curve seem to be working, which is why the Quebec government is moving towards re-opening schools and businesses sooner rather than later. For now, it seems that community spread of the virus is under control. As Global’s Anne Leclair explains, the goal now is to strike the delicate balance between reducing community spread and slowly return to normal, or a version of it.
