Ontario’s associate chief medical officer of health Dr. Barbara Yaffe said on Monday that there were 424 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the provincial total to 14,856. She said that while the province had seen a decrease in the number of new cases over the past several days, there were also 57 new deaths to report. This is the highest single-day increase in deaths due to the coronavirus in the province.
